Facilities

Housing 20 individual imaging systems and 6 analysis workstations, the facility can cover a wide range of researcher requests and focused needs.

Basic to high-end technology is available including basic bright-field imaging, wide-field fluorescence, confocal microscopy, spinning disc microscopy, live cell imaging, spectral multi-plex imaging, two-photon intra-vital imaging and super-resolution microscopy.

To complement the acquisition of high-quality research data, the facility also has high end workstations dedicated to image analysis running a mix of open source and commercial analysis software.

Capabilities

The TRI Microscopy Facility offers the following capabilities:

  • Slide scanning as a service
  • A range of upright and inverted bright-field and fluorescent microscopes
  • Live cell imaging
  • Point scanning and spinning disc confocal microscopes
  • Multi-photon deep tissue and intra-vital imaging
  • Super-resolution microscopy
  • High content imaging

Training

The TRI Microscopy Facility offers the following training:

  • Introductory to Microscopy
  • Workshops for specific software
