Countdown to 2026

TRI’s translational manufacturing facility will become Australia’s first scale-up biomedical cGMP facility for maturing, high-potential, biomedical startups.

This world-class facility will enable companies to manage their own product manufacturing and commercialisation pathways, preserving their intellectual property
and know-how.

Our unique cGMP model will provide expertise, specialist equipment and resourcing to support delivery of new diagnostics, medical devices and therapies with real-world impacts.

What will TM@TRI mean to medical research in Australia?

“It’s going to have an amazing mix of capabilities, from manfacturing to lab space, to offices… having options like this coming online is exciting for Queensland companies.”
Professor Trent Munro

Senior VP Therapeutics, Microba

“TM@TRI is very exciting because it means that we'll be able to take basic science through to translational research, and then actually go ahead and manufacture with a view to getting it back into the clinic, which is really what it's all about.”
Emeritus Professor Ian Frazer

Co-Founder Gardasil HPV Vaccine

"If you're a biotech or medtech, innovator or inventor, you have the capacity now to go from incubation through to producing your clinical material for initial trials, to manufacturing the commercial grade material you need for your later stage trials all in one place."
David Hoey

President and CEO, Vaxxas
