Paediatric Clinical Trials

TRI at Children’s (TRIC)

Located on the Queensland Children’s Hospital campus and within the CCHR building, this purpose-built facility provides a welcoming environment for research volunteers who participate in leading-edge research into healthcare improvement and life-saving treatments.

This custom-designed state-of-the-art facility supports low-risk clinical research studies for child patients – including healthy volunteer, qualitative, quantitative, epidemiological, comparator, observations, phase III and phase IV trials.

Capabilities

TRIC is designed to support low risk outpatient based research in babies, children and adolescents.

Researchers using the TRIC facility have access to:

  • An onsite PC2 Laboratory for biological sample processing and storage
  • Shared clinical trial equipment including vital signs monitors and 12 lead Electrocardiograph
